If you own any domain names or are interested in investing in them, let me share with you how I sold a $10 domain name for $35,000.

This is not as common anymore with the explosion of domain extensions, but if the right buyer wants your url, then you still can get lucky.

I purchased a domain name for an idea I had and a company from New York contacted
me about selling it.  This was in 2013 so about ten years ago.

We had a quick negotiation over the phone and I decided to aim high with our opening offer. I told them we would want at least $45k for it.

Little did I know, they were really serious. After a quick negotiation, we settled on $35k and we used escrow.com to finalize the transaction.

It was the laziest money I’ve ever made!
